Four Lessons From This Year

Each year brings about something new.  This includes new challenges and opportunities to learn.  It’s in the darkest, most difficult of times that you’re able to fully breakthrough and experience growth.  Ultimately, this is what life is all about.  You’re able to become the highest version of yourself when you learn and grow.  Those lessons can be taken with you and help you in future challenges.  Here are four lessons from this year.

Search For Signs

Often seeing the success of others can be triggering.  Usually this is because you’re not quite there yet or at least as far along as you’d like to be.  Instead of feeling envy or jealously, see the success of others as proof that it is possible for you.  Better yet, that it is a sign that you’re on the right track and on the path to seeing success in your own life.  See someone else’s success as confirmation that success on already its way to you.  Be on the lookout and search for signs that success is coming to you.

Abundant Success

The more you celebrate other’s success, the more success you’ll have.  This is an abundant mindset.  Just because someone else achieves success does not mean that there is less for you.  That is scarcity thinking.  Instead, believe that success has no limit and there is so much more to go around.  See success as a never ending river that continues to flow.  This river flows through you, through others, and back again.  It flows freely and easily.  Have an abundant mindset and when you do, more abundance will flow into your own life.

No Failure

The next lesson is that failure does not exist.  If you didn’t succeed, then there is a lesson to learn.  Sometimes you’re too close to it to notice it right away.  But, in everything there is something you can learn and carry with you as you move forward.  There will be times when you try to achieve your goal and you miss.  You simply make adjustments and try again.  You certainly don’t give up!  This allows you to continue expanding your life by learning and growing.  There is no need to be afraid of failure.  Even the most successful people make mistakes, missteps, and don’t achieve their goal on the first attempt.  That doesn’t make them less than, unworthy, incapable, or a complete and utter failure.  It makes them human.  Accept and recognize that failure is a part of the process as a means to teach you something.

You Can Figure It Out

Lastly, realize that you have everything you need within you already to achieve your goals.  Otherwise, this goal wouldn’t be placed on your heart to begin with.  Be courageous enough to take action in spite of your fears.  Possess a deep inner knowing that your success is inevitable.  You have all the proof, evidence, and tools to support you and help you to figure it out along the way.  You’ve already made it this far in life.  There is no reason why you can’t continue making progress.  You don't have to have the entire roadmap planned out.  It might be messy but you just need to take the next step because taking action creates clarity on the next step after that.  Be okay with making changes and not having it all perfectly planned because you fully capable of figuring it out.

Reflect over these four lessons and think about how each one can benefit you.  The first lesson is to see other’s success as a sign that success is already on its way to you.  Next, just because someone else achieves success does not mean that there is less success available for you.  Instead, have an abundant mindset where success flows easily and freely like a river.  Then, realize that failure does not exist.  Rather, these are only opportunities to learn and grow.  Lastly, acknowledge that you already have everything you need within you to figure out how to achieve your goals.  You are so much stronger and capable than you give yourself credit for.  Use these four lessons to help you during challenging times in the new year.
