Confidence is one of the biggest personality traits that can help you achieve your goals. When you lack confidence, you don’t believe in yourself or your goals so they remain unachieved. However, when you do have confidence, you take bold action towards achieving your goals. You must learn to act with confidence.
When you have confidence, your posture even changes where you stand up straight and speak in a confident tone. Other people can sense your confidence or your lack thereof. If you’re not confident then other people can feel that nervous disbelief within you. It makes them question your competence, skills, and capability. No one wants that. This is why it’s important to tune into how you’re feeling in regards to your confidence level. If you’re not feeling confident, then there are some things you can do to give yourself an extra boost of confidence.
You will have moments of confidence and other times where you lack confidence. You need some tools that you can use to boost your confidence when it’s running low. This could be having a playlist of motivational music that pumps you up, just simply moving your body to shake off negative energy, or speaking to a friend that reignites that confidence in yourself. Another powerful confidence booster is to look for evidence of past success. Create a list of the things you’re most proud of that remind you just how capable you truly are. Have some resources to help you act with confidence when you need an extra boost.
Next, start asking yourself how you can act with confidence today. Think about what you would do and achieve if you asked yourself this question each day. Consider the actions you would take and how you would feel about yourself. Visualize yourself taking those brave, bold actions and then actually do it! Don’t let fear, worry, or doubt creep in and stop you. Instead, live in the feeling that you visualized when you acted with confidence.
Then, do something that will push you out of your comfort zone and move you closer towards achieving your goals. Do one thing each day that scares you a little and makes progress towards achieving your goals. It can be scary doing something you’ve never done before. But, after you’ve taken the action, focus on that feeling when you’re done. It’s the feeling of excitement and exhilaration that you’re left with after you’ve tried something new. You’ve survived and maybe it was even a little bit fun. In fact, you might be pumped and ready to do it again. You’ll notice that as you take these actions, what was once scary, is now not so bad. Your comfort zone has expanded and you’re acting with confidence despite the fear.
You cannot let fear, worry, or doubt prevent you from taking action. If you just took action and didn’t allow yourself to think about how scary it is, you’ll be amazed at just how much progress you can make towards achieving your goals. Think of all the things you’ve been holding yourself back from doing because you’re afraid. Imagine if you could act with confidence today and do those things. You would be so incredibly proud of yourself.
Ask yourself, how you can act with confidence today. By doing so, you’ll be more willing to do the things that scare you all because you’re being pushed outside your comfort zone. You’ll be extremely proud of yourself when you get out of your own way and stop holding yourself back from taking the scary steps that make the biggest progress towards achieving your goals. Remember that taking these steps can be fun, exciting, and exhilarating when you’re done. Start acting with confidence today so that you’ll make progress and achieve your goals.
